In times of digitization, numerous interactions between human and machine pose an additional burden. The Buddy Box is designed as a "simple" human - machine interaction. You can choose your individual radio program and hear your music everywhere.

Define the Experience

In order to bring the extensive research into a meaningful implementation
I needed an exact definition of the individual functions and requirements.
I could only define requirements of the product by knowing the core idea for a radio user experience. I took a step back and spent a week with a box of paper. Every time I wanted a certain function or wanted to listen to music in a certain way, I wrote my notes on the box. This design methodology proved extremely successful. I could now define exactly what my functions and requirements for my device are important or unimportant.

The “radio experience” exists from the user perspective. We have to look on devices from our personal perspective. What does it mean to actually listen to radio?

the size is a combination of usability and the power of sound

the construction plan

The whole power of the radio experience is the fact that it’s kind of low engagement for me to enjoy radio.
